Business Success is 8 Parts Visualisation and 2 parts Skill

So what is visualisation that makes it so important? It is a mindset that drives success.

Before they actually accomplish it in reality, all top performers regardless of profession, know the importance of picturing themselves being successful.

You must have seen the rugby player preparing to kick a conversion or penalty. They use those few quiet moments prior to kicking the ball to visualise the ball leaving the tee and passing between the posts. He is not thinking about how to kick the ball that skill is highly tuned through coaching and much practice to the point that it is instinctive.

So how can you use visualisation to be successful?

First write down your goals, be specific, you must clearly define what you want to achieve. Being vague will create vague outcomes.

Be passionate about it, emotions are the driving force behind your vision.

Make your visualisation vivid, use your imagination. The more clarity you have, the greater your chances of success. Be a child, children have lively imaginations, they believe they are super heroes or princesses or pirates or whatever they choose.

Here’s the tricky bit - visualise from multiple perspectives.

Visualise yourself being successful in whatever endeavour you choose, then visualise the reaction of those observing or working with you. Absorb their admiration, sense those feelings as if you had already accomplished your goals. Relish the moment.

There may very well be peaks and troughs along the way but If You Visualise It, It Will Happen!
