Do you Struggle Making Decisions?
No Gender Stereotyping Intended!
Each and every day we are faced with making decisions, with consequences ranging from the trivial to the significant.
What we decide may shape and have implications for our future. It is not surprising therefore that we may shirk from making a difficult decision. However by doing so we may potentially lose out on opportunities or unexpected benefits. So why do we choose to avoid these difficult decisions? Perhaps it is because we are a HER. Subconsciously, we may be afraid of getting it wrong. Our mind plays tricks with us creating a negative scenario in which we will suffer Humiliation, Embarrassment or Ridicule. Conversely we can be a HIM and adopt a positive attitude, be a Hero, Imagine how that feels and feel emboldened to Make it happen.
How often do we hold back, finding an excuse to prevaricate or procrastinate, allowing an opportunity to slip away and then castigate ourselves for doing so? Not making a decision is probably worse than making the wrong decision. We can learn from mistakes but nothing is achieved from doing nothing.
So are you a HER or a HIM?
